When have you raced your first XTERRA ?
In 2009, in Germany img8

Your best memory of XTERRA ?
Maui 2009 – Age Group World Champ and 2nd amateur overall

Your best result on XTERRA ?
10th overall in France and in Switzerland 2011.

Do you consider yourself as a pro athlete ?
Not at all, I discovered triathlon aged 30 after 7 years without any sport, plus I don’t have the means to train full time, but I like to dream that indeed I am a pro!

You work in the music world that seems out of step in terms of lifestyle. How do you manage to balance your professional life and your sporting life?
I kind of manage it, with a not so regular training routine that fits around my work, usually feeling a bit of an alien in both worlds! But I need both to feel complete, this was already the case when I was a runner and radio dj. Sharing music and thirst for culture are similarly integral parts of my personality, and I find myself permanently looking for that elusive balance between body and soul.

What do you think about Lance Armstrong's arrival on XTERRA ?
Good for the public relation of xterra, otherwise no comment.

For you, what's a great XTERRA ? .
An easy swim in the chase group, a great ride on a techical and hilly course, and a fast run! But generally it is all the unexpected that make every xterra magical.

What would you advise to an athlete who is racing the XTERRA France for the first time in 2012 ?
Don’t even think of giving up when acid lactic builds up dangerously almost at the start of the 1st lap of the bike (like I did in the last 2 years...). This is a long and tough race that deserves respect, and mental strength is a must!

Version Découverte :

If you don't feel strong enough to race the XTERRA France, you can still register for the XTERRA Decouverte. Currently, more than 300 athletes are registered for this race (entries limited to 300 athletes) and the pace of the registrations should increase quickly in coming weeks. The winner of the XTERRA Decouverte 2011, Sebastien Jarrot (Fra) won't defend his title on this event. Actually, Sebastien will cross a new stage by racing the XTERRA France. Good luck to him !
